Lily’s been worried about making friends at school. So I told her she should throw a party and invite anyone she wants to. Well, it worked! Word started getting around that she was having a party and all of a sudden, she was becoming more popular. She’s humble about it, but excited. I told her she’ll have to do this again and invite more people next time.
She ended up having ten friends come and it was nothing short of a success!
They ate pizza and played games.
And then pigged out on junk food! I went a little overboard with the treats. The girls didn’t seem to mind.
They had fun just making up games to do, taking ‘selfies’ and getting to know one another (although most of the girls were from school, several were not, so they were meeting each other for the first time).
Lily kept coming up to me and giving me hugs, saying “thank you!” I’m so glad this made her happy and hopefully helps her social confidence increase. It made me a little bit more excited to have a teenager soon too. :)
