It had been loose for a couple weeks, she was so excited! Then four or five days ago she was biting on a jump-rope, pretending to be a dog as usual, and when she pulled on the rope it loosened it a lot more. Yesterday it was just hanging by a thread. I asked her if I could pull it out (I didn't want to do it without her knowing) and she said "no", she was so nervous. I told her if it started to hurt, to tell me. Well, I gave it a little tug and popped right out. She didn't cry like I thought she would. She just had a big grin on her face and showed the rest of the family. The whole night she kept saying "thanks for pulling my tooth out, Mom!" It was so fun for me too. She had a hard time going to sleep that night, she was too excited for the Tooth Fairy. She has a tooth fairy doll that she put the tooth in and slept with the doll. Because it was her first tooth she got $2 for it AND the Tooth Fairy left the tooth. She didn't seem too thrilled about the $2 and said she didn't want to keep the tooth. I guess the Tooth Fairy didn't make a very good first impression. Even still, it's events like these that make being a parent so fun!

Her First...
Yesterday Lily lost her first tooth.

Who in their right mind gives their kid $5 for losing a tooth(I saw what you said on FB) Maybe if my kid lost their spleen or something- but not a piddly little tooth. We give our kids a dollar too- which I still think is a bit too high but- what do you do. Gotta love that toothy grin and you are right it makes being a parent so fun.
