Jefferson Turns 12!

Jefferson Max turned 12 years old on May 22!
He's always been my photogenic, cut toe-head boy.
This year he got to have a friend party.  So, Saturday, May 19th we gathered at a park.
We had pizza.

Then we sang and had cupcakes.
Then Jeff opened his presents.  He mainly got Rubik's Cube type gifts, a few basketballs, treats, etc.
Then we shuttled the kids down the street to the Hidden Chambers Escape Room.  The kids had a great time trying to solve the clues to escape the room.
They found the map in time, but didn't get the key until after the hour time limit was up.  It was a little chaotic with 15 of us in there.  But we all had a fun time!

On Monday, May 21st, I took Jeff out to lunch at Arctic Circle.
That night we went out to Chick-Fil-A for dinner.
We then went home and had him open his presents.
He got another puzzle cube, basketball shoes and a timing pad from Mom & Dad.  And a 5x5 Rubik's Cube from Lily, Cedric & Sophie.

Tuesday, May 22nd was his actual birthday.  However, we did all the celebrations the day before because I had to work during the day so I couldn't take him to lunch.  (I did take donuts to his class at the end of the school day, though.)
And that night Tom and I had other commitments, so we asked our nephew, Tyler join Jeff to go see "Avengers: Infinity War" (again).  The girls were with me, so Cedric got to tag along with the boys to the movie.

The following Sunday, Jeff was ordained a Deacon and received the Aaronic Priesthood.

We are so proud of Jefferson and the great young man he's becoming.

Here are twelve things I love about Jeff:
1- He has an amazing brain that can solve problems and puzzles (such as Rubik's Cubes) in a way that most people can't even comprehend.
2- He loves being a Deacon and passing the sacrament, going to Young Men's and wearing a real tie!
3- He has always loved learning and is also a good teacher when it comes to helping others.
4- He is my social butterfly and loves people.  He has several friends.
5- He loves being a leader and in charge of things.  He loved being the big fish in the little pond as a sixth grader, doing safety patrol and Pack Protectors.
6- He is my athletic boy.  He loves most sports, but especially basketball.
7- He is a daddy's boy and looks up to his dad as his hero.
8- He enjoys the outdoors, running, biking, camping, playing, etc.
9- He is so handsome and has the cutest freckles.
10- He is a great brother.  He enjoys hanging out with Lily, playing video games with Cedric, and helping out with Sophie.
11- He has a growing testimony and knows what is right.  He makes the right decisions, even when it is hard.
12- He loves to laugh and make others laugh.  He is great at quoting movies, comedians or people, just like his dad and uncles do.
Happy Birthday, Jeff!
