February in a nutshell

In February the kids had their 100th day of school and got to dress up like a 100 year old.
Sophie got to bring 100 things to school and brought her bubble wand because it makes 100 bubbles.
Our friends, Nisha and Steve were sealed to their son, Maguell.  He was adopted a year ago, and it was a neat experience to join them at the Provo City Center Temple.
I've been telling Lily that when she is 14 I'd let her try driving in the church parking lot.  Well, one day we were dropping off some flowers to her friend, Jenna who'd been super sick with migraines, when she brought it up and so we spontaneously "went for a drive".  It was funny, crazy and scary all at the same time!
We went to the annual Super Bowl party at Josh and Rebekah's house.  It's always fun to get together.  I took my laptop and worked on our Disneyland Blogs while there.  It was nice to have something to do, besides watch football, yet still be a part of the party.
The kids had fun too with all their friends.

Tom went out of town to his friend, Jeremy's cabin for the weekend.  We had a clogged toilet and I could not! unclog it for the life of me!  after several attempts and blisters from plunging, I finally gave up.  The next day I called my home teacher (luckily, it's our good friend, Kenny) and he came over and unclogged it for me.  It's little things like that that make me appreciate Tom.
He had fun watching movies, snowmobiling, and barbecuing.

I was grateful when my sister, Aimee invited us to go with her to the Discovery Gateway Museum for free because she's a public official.  Lily ended up going to Maren's to babysit Lorelei and do homework, so I took Charlotte in her place.  We went to the Planetarium for a few minutes while we waited for Aimee.
Then we went to the museum and had lunch.  Since Aimee doesn't have any little kids, she didn't stay, but the kids and I stayed for several hours.

We ran into Jeff's friend, Gabe there.

The kids love escalators.
While at the museum, Cedric kept complaining of his ear hurting.  And since he'd had a cold, I was pretty sure it was an infection.  So after the museum, I dropped all the kids off at Maren's condo (Lily was still babysitting), and took Cedric to the urgent care.  Well, we ended up being there for two hours!  He did have an ear infection though.  I had to then rush back to Maren's to get the kids, drop them off at home, and meet my family for date night at Chili's.  I ended up being quite late, but all was well in the end.
We had several sicknesses in our home that month.
I hosted a Norwex party, and got so much free stuff from it!  It was awesome, despite not being excited about having the party.
The kids got to decorate cookies at family dinner.  Sophie got a little carried away with the sprinkles.
I helped all the kids make Valentine's boxes. Cedric's was a monster, Sophie's was a house and Jeff's was a basketball court.
The kids had fun parties at school.
I also made chocolate dipped strawberries for Valentines. and Sophie and I took some to our widowed neighbor.
The kids had boxes full of candy.  Cedric was licking sugar off the table.
That night, we got heart pizza for the kids and turned a movie on for them.  Lily was exhausted from musical rehearsal.
Tom and I got Thai food and had a date in the basement with a movie.
It was Sophie's turn for date night, so we went to Jungle Jim's Play Land and then went to Noodles and Company.

We finally got some snow!  We've had a very warm, dry winter, so despite it being February, we were actually excited to see the snow.
We had planned to do a barbecue for President's Day.  Despite the snow, we did one anyway.
Cedric had two teeth pulled and was so brave!  They just wanted to make room for his permanent teeth to come in.
Lily was in her school musical "Crazy For You" as part of the ensemble. She did so good and had so much fun!  She also had a hard time seeing it come to an end.  She always grows close to her musical friends.
Sophie loved wearing her snow boots as much as she could while we had snow.
We survived the shortest, yet longest (at least it feels that way) month of the year.
