Lily turns 13!

13 years ago, on August 22, 2003 Lily McKenna was born.

She was a cute, sweet, tiny baby girl.

Then she grew into a beautiful, smart fun little girl. 

Now she's a gorgeous, caring, helpful teenager!

We gave Lily her presents right before we left for our cruise (I'll post on that later).  She was so excited when she saw her present, a new iPhone!

This year, Lily got to celebrate her birthday on a cruise ship!  I decorated her door so she woke up to this... (I know, it's not professional looking, but I put it together at midnight and had to use what was around.)

Her dream was to go on a cruise, so it was a very magical birthday.

I still can't believe I'm a parent of a teenager!  She's such a good girl though, with just a few teenage quirks.

That night at dinner, we let Lily order a virgin daiquiri for her birthday.

I'd also pre-ordered a cake for her from the ship and the waiters all came out with it, and sang in their accents "Happy Birthday".

Nana and Grandpa gave her a new outfit.

Later, Grandpa Kent and Grandma Suzy took Lily out for her birthday where she bought more clothes and accessories.

Here are 13 things I love about Lily...

2.  She is smart and so far doing her best in 8th grade

3.  She is a great big sister and loves to play with her younger siblings

4.  She is a beautiful singer

5.  She's talented on the piano

6.  She has a strong testimony of the Gospel

7.  She is lovely, inside and out

8.  She loves to be outside and climb trees or do tumbling tricks

9.  She's fun to hang out with and do things with

10.  She always wants to do what's right

11.  She enjoys trying new foods and baking

12.  She has a love for animals and all nature

13.  She appreciates her parents and the blessings she has
