Disneyland Part 2

Monday we decided to go back to Disneyland again.  It was less crowded than Sunday, but still more crowded than we were expecting.  

Sunday night and throughout Monday I was feeling a little sick, probably due to over exertion.  But I managed to still make the best of the day. 

We managed to get a lot of the Fantasy Land rides done really quickly via the handicap entrance, which was nice.  

Sophie loved the Peter Pan ride. 

 And the carousel.

Storybook Land Canal was a nice, relaxing ride and a great place to take pictures.

The kids always try to pull out the Sword in the Stone, but it hasn't budged yet!  Where's Aurther (or Thor) when you need him!

 

 The Tea Cups is one ride I'm happy to miss.

Maxine and I got pictures with Alice and the Mad Hatter instead.

He was such a good Mad Hatter and we had fun talking to him.

 We bought lunch this time in the park and decided to eat sandwiches later, at the condo for dinner.

 These two are almost the same size!  They got along pretty good too.

We finished off rides in Fantasy Land and headed over to Tomorrow Land.

The Finding Nemo Submarine was fun, but I could feel how tired I was sitting there for so long, fighting to stay awake. 

 The Autopia was fun too.  Sophie was the "driver" of our car and was gut laughing at how bad of a driver she was!  It helped lighten the mood after waiting so long to get on the ride.

 The boys got picked to participate in the Jedi Training Acadamy.  This was a must on our to-do list!

Cedric got to fight Darth Vader.

And Jeff got to fight Darth Maul.

They both received their Jedi certificates and we all had fun watching! 

 We went on Star Tours and Sophie loved it so much, she went on it again with Aunt Maren and Grandpa.

 While everyone else went on Space Mountain, I stayed back with the little girls.  We played in the Toy Story gift shop.

We didn't stay out as late, since most of us were pretty beat from going non-stop two days in a row.  So we headed back to the condo, made sandwiches, then went to bed.  That night, Sophie threw up in bed in the middle of the night.  She was fine the next day so we guessed it was the heat and exertion that did it to her. (It was still a pain to have to clean her and the bed up in the middle of the night though.)

Tuesday we woke up to a downpour!  Luckily, by the time we got ready and left the condo, it had let up and was no more than a mist.  However, right after we got into California Adventure, the downpour hit again!  We quickly sought shelter and put on our ponchos.

The rain was crazy!  So we quickly got into the building where the Soarin' over California ride is.  By the time we got off the ride, the rain had stopped and never came back.  It was our coolest and least crowded day the whole week!

We were able to see a few more characters, since we weren't feeling as rushed and the crowds were thinner. 

 Sophie's favorite ride of the day was the Little Mermaid ride.

Despite having the wheelchair, there were a few lines we had to wait in. (It seemed to be less convenient in Cal. Adventure than in Disneyland to use the handicap entrances.)  

So while waiting for Toy Story Mania, we decided to teach the kids the game Heads Up. (You hold the phone on your forehead and people give you clues to help you guess the word on the phone).  It really helped the line feel not so long.

 Everybody had fun on Toy Story Mania! 

 The girls remembered the Toy Story toys from the day before and reenacted the same pose again in the gift shop.

 Sophie likes the slow, calm rides like the Carousel.

 We didn't have to wait too long for Radiator Springs Racers thanks to the low crowd level and our Fast Passes!

 Sophie started out happy, but after a mad Jeff (he was mad his dad wasn't sitting by him), kicked her in the foot as the ride was starting and the roller coaster type feel, she was in tears the whole ride (so was Jeff and almost myself).

 I tried to make it fun for her the best I could.

 The kids saw Mater and Lightning McQueen.  We ate our sandwiches near the Cozy Cone where they were stationed.

 Jeff got over his fit and decided to put a smile back on his face.  Handsome boy!

 We saw Red hanging out all by himself, so we quickly grabbed a picture.

 We headed next to the Animation Academy.  First, we learned how to draw Tigger.

Next we went and met Anna and Elsa.  I think this was one of the highlights of the trip.

 These two girls were in heaven!

It was nice to have our own private time with them!

Afterward, we did Talkin' with Crush (the sea turtle from Finding Nemo).  Cedric got picked to ask Crush a question and asked him how far he can swim.  Crush talked to him for a bit, which is always fun.

We left the Animation Academy just in time to catch the Pixar Parade and enjoyed watching it while we had some snacks.

 I took the little girls again and we did some rides in Bugs Land while the others went on the Tower of Terror.

 Afterward, Cedric got to go on it again, just me and him.

 Then we all played in Bug's Land for a while.  

Every time Sophie and I went into the bathroom stalls, Charlotte insisted on coming in with us.  I started using the handicap stalls, because it was quite squishy with three of us in one stall.  Here is Sophie measuring Charlotte to see if she was tall enough for the rides inside the stall.

 We did a few more rides before heading home for dinner. 

 We had thrown a roast and veggies in the Crock Pot that morning, so it was nice to come home and have dinner ready to eat, and for practically free!

Tuesday ended up being a great day!
