On the second to the last day of school Sophie, Cedric and I surprised Lily and Jeff and met them at school for lunch.
Cedric and I also helped with the Field Day on the last day of school. I was doing a relay race with the third and fourth graders. When Lily’s class came to our station, she wasn’t among the other students. One of the kids said she had gotten hurt and I found her crying by the school. She had a hard time that day, but tried to put on a happy face.
We bought a little baby pool, which the kids tested out. The kids have played in all sorts of pools and water this summer.
The boys got their Mohawk cuts before camping.
Father’s Day!
Lily and Jeff wrote and illustrated a children’s book together one day. They’ve been selling them for $3 to raise money for their new aunt and uncle (Travis & Natalie) to adopt a child from Ethiopia.
We went to the zoo one day with our friends/old neighbors, Diane, Katie, Carlye & Candon. Lily missed her old friends. We loved watching the polar bear swim!
We went to the bird show, which is always fun. Jeff and Lily got their picture with the bald eagle.
Then we had a quick snack. Sophie kept doing cheesy smiles for the camera.
The kids went on the carousel too, but Cedric didn’t like it (the first picture is before the ride (and tears) started). Sophie was pretty warn out when it was time to go home.
I had my friends, Tiffany and Chris over for lunch to celebrate Tiffany’s birthday. We had ten kids between us all (I was babysitting my niece, Charlotte that day)!
Tom participated in the MS bike ride in Logan. Unfortunately his tire blew at mile 84 (out of 100) and he didn’t finish the ride.
The kids and I went up that day and met with Tom and his friends, Dee and Jeremy and their families for some swimming and pizza.
The kids and I went to the Seven Peaks Fun Center in Lehi. We have a season pass and hope to return many times (as well as go to the other Seven Peaks parks). Sophie stayed home and napped at our neighbor, Kristi’s house and I took her son, Steven with us.
We also had a fun 4th, but that’s another story :)
