On Tuesday, my friend, Tiffany and I took our kids (plus two extra) downtown to the Gallivan Center where Radio Disney was putting on a party for kids.
We decided to take the Trax train.
Trying to get ten kids and two strollers on and off the train was quite the feat. Here are the ten kids waiting for the train.
Once on, it was a bit more relaxing.
The first thing we did was face painting. Lily got a pretty design, Jeff got a spider and Cedric got a Spiderman eye.
There were fun characters to meet and tons of free hand-outs
Here I am with my good friend, Tiffany.
They had a few bounce houses.
Then the kids watched the Radio Disney show. Lily ended up participating in a game where she had to finish the song lyrics.
Then they played a game with hula-hoops, similar to hot potato.
It was really hot so we after a few hours we headed over to the City Creek food court for lunch and some air conditioning. Trying to feed ten kids was another challenge.
Thank goodness for the playground!
After lunch we headed home. The girls thought the bars on the train were a jungle gym.
Yesterday was Tom's work party at our city park. Again, we started with face painting. Jeff got Harry Potter, Lily got a flower and Cedric got a cute caterpillar.
Tom ran the 5K before we showed up. The whole party was an awesome event!
There was Cinderella there too.
The kids enjoyed the reptile show and even got to pet the 17 foot long python.
And they each took a turn holding a bull snake.
We ate lunch during the next show, which was a funny magician. The kids got a kick out of all of the tricks, especially Jeff.
We ran into Tom's brother and my sister and her family (her husband, Matt and Tom's brother Kurtis also work at Tom's work). The kids were trying to get Sophie to crawl. She's soooo close!
They had some more fun in the bounce houses.
Sophie was so tired, and wouldn't take a nap. She was starting to get fussy by this point (she'd been up since 7:30am and it was now after 1pm). However, every time she saw a camera she would instantly smile! We were laughing so hard at how much she loved the camera.
It was a fun day and nice to have a lot of shade. The kids have had a fun week!
