Our Trax Trip

Last week UTA was doing a test run of their new Trax line going through West/South Jordan. Since there's a station just minutes from our house, we're pretty excited about it. So when I heard you could ride Trax for just the price of a can of food on their test run day, we quickly took advantage of it.
I invited my cousin Shelley to go with us, so the eight of us (me, Shelley, her two boys, her neighbor's boy, and my three kids) headed off for the late afternoon.
The kids were so excited to ride the train!
When we found out the train could take us all the way to downtown we decided to go all the way to the Gateway. First we stopped in the Clark Planetarium. The kids had fun playing in there for a while.

Then we headed to the food court for a not-so-relaxing dinner. Here's Shelley with all the kids.
Then we took them out to the fountains to play. Luckily they had fun playing in the water without getting too wet. On our way back to the Trax stop we walked right past Tom's office.
In fact, the kids refer to the entire Gateway Mall as "Dad's Work". I think this was the first time we were at his work when he was at home :) It was getting late, so we headed home. The kids were literally running around on the train (Cedric didn't take a nap that day, so he didn't dare hold still in fear of falling asleep), so it was not as relaxing of a ride on the way home. We are glad we did it though, it was a very fun outing.
