This year we had an Elf on the Shelf who watched over us during the month of December. On December 1st we found a book about the elf, which we read and it said we needed to name him. After careful consideration we went with the name, Dolfie. Lily came up with it by taking the first letter of Dad, second letter of mOm, third letter of liLy, fourth letter of jefF, fifth letter of cedrIc and sixth letter of sophiE = DOLFIE.
That night, he came. Here’s what he did each day…
December 2nd.

That day Lily set out her Barbie (which she named, Clair) and set up a little dinner date for her and Dolfie.

The next day, Clair left him a note saying she’s going to be with her family for the holidays.

Although the kids weren’t allowed to touch him (his magic would go away), the last day Santa sent a letter giving the kids permission to touch him!
Lily wrote some notes for Dolfie. They were sad to see him go. Even Sophie was sad Christmas day when she found out Dolfie had gone back with Santa.
Jeff – I hope you will come back next year with a spell so you can talk to us and move around too.

Sooooo cute! I had showing these to my three oldest kids. My favorite was the tree TP'd. Jessica's favorite was the date with Clair. Michael's favorite was the red noses. John's favorite was revenge on the stuffed animals.

I'm so impressed! I'm so glad you documented everything that Dolfie did. I already am excited to see what he does next week. Also, Lily is so creative!
