Funny Kid Anecdotes

Sunday night Jeff came down with a stomach bug.  He was complaining of being cold and so we turned the fireplace on.  Next thing I know I find him like this...
He had fallen sound asleep in front of the fire (it looks like he's waiting for Santa on Christmas Eve).  The hard thing was it was only 6pm, but since he was sick we just put him to bed.
Then around 8pm Cedric climbed in Tom's lap while he was watching football and next thing you know he was asleep too...
I was thinking this was a great night as two of the three kids were already asleep and we didn't even have to go through the usual bedtime routine!
However, right after Cedric fell asleep, Jeff woke up after his two hour "nap".  He said he wanted to eat something, so he had some crackers and apple sauce, but was now wide awake.  Of course, he wasn't done being sick and so we were still able to get him to bed by about 9:30 and he fell back asleep just fine.
I was worried that we were starting a round of another illness in our home right before the baby comes, but so far no one else got Jeff's stomach bug and it only lasted about 12 hours with him.

We are all so anxious for this baby to come!  Cedric loves giving her hugs...
We finally got the boys all moved into different rooms and the nursery is almost ready.  I even found the box of baby blankets I've been looking for!  Lily is always hoping she'll either wake up to or come home from school to someone else here because that means I'm at the hospital.

Tonight at dinner Cedric was sitting across the table from me and I noticed he was doing something with his food.  I said "Cedric, what are you doing?"  And he responded as normally as if this was something he did all the time, "I'm putting mac & cheese in my foot".  Yup, that's what he was doing.  We couldn't help but all bust up laughing.

That is a great picture of Jeff - especially because he is in red feet jammies! :)

And all I have to say about Cedric's mac and cheese...yummy.

PS - If you haven't had a baby, do you want to bring your kids over for a bit in the afternoon on Saturday? Then you and Tom could have a little free time to shop or do whatever. Let me know! We'll be home anytime after 11 that day.
