Day 6 - Wednesday, April 3rd
We headed back to Sea World on what I thought was to be the warmest day (so we all dressed in shorts) and it ended up being one of the coolest days. We hit the rides again first, as there were never any lines in the morning. Here we are on Manta, it was an awesome roller coaster! We went on it twice in a row, with no wait.

While Tom and I took the older kids on Manta, my dad and Mike's family took Sophie and Cedric to the Sesame Street land.
We met up with them for the last kiddie ride. Sophie was mad she wasn't sitting by me, but they made us do only four to a row and as we were already all seated, it was easiest to just hand her over to Karyn.
We went on the flight simulator ride before entering the arctic exhibit.
The kids loved seeing the walrus, beluga whale and polar bears! We also saw the penguin exhibit.

The older group went off to do the rapids ride, Tom took the older two kids...
While I went with Mike, Karyn, Grace, Cedric and Sophie to the giant playground in Sesame Street land.
We did have a scare at one point when Mike and I watched Cedric climb up the big rope net, but then never saw where he went from there. We were searching for him for a long time and I was getting ready to fill out the missing child form at the service station when Mike finally found him not far from where we were. Cedric didn't even know he was lost.
Tom, Lily and Jeff met up with us about the time we found Cedric. All the other families left, as it was lunch time and they didn't want to buy lunch in the park again. However, we weren't done yet. The older kids hadn't even been to the kiddie playground yet, so they played for a bit while Sophie and I watched the end of the Sesame Street show. She was reaching for Elmo and his friends, so when they announced we could meet them, I got in line. Cedric, Sophie and I were in line, but Sophie wanted nothing to do with it. So I got the stroller from Tom and put her in it and started feeding her lunch (we had packed our own lunch again). Cedric ate too, and pretty soon our whole family was in line for Elmo and the half hour wait was a perfect time for all of us to eat lunch. When we got up to Elmo Sophie loved him and hugged him and cried when we had to say good bye.
We then went to touch some sea creatures, including starfish.
And then we went into another exhibit with octopus and Jeff's favorite, Sea Turtles!
After we went souvenir shopping. They all bought cotton candy, Cedric got a light-up sword, Jeff picked a Shamu basketball, and Lily fell in love with a pig puppet in Old Town we picked up on the way home. We also picked up more strawberries, yum!
That night we walked to the nearby pier and ate at Ruby's Diner at the end of the pier. Here's my dad and I on the pier with our condos in the far background.
Sophie stayed busy playing with sugar packets while we waited to eat.
This was an interesting meal. Tom and I got stuck in a back booth with just Cedric and Sophie for company, the rest of the group was near, but we couldn't talk to them from where we sat. Then two homeless looking men, who smelled, sat in the booth right next to ours. At one point we saw one of the men at the kids table dumping sugar into his drink? All of us just watched, not knowing what to do. To top off the evening, my poor niece had caught a stomach bug that had been hitting a few others in our group and she threw up next to her booth.
My meal was good, though. I loved their Asian chicken salad dressing!
We walked back home. Because we only had the umbrella stroller, one of us was usually carrying Sophie while the other one pushed Cedric or visa-verse. However, we figured out this little trick for short walks. Who needs a double stroller?
Day 7 - Thursday, April 4th
Thursday was another day back at the condos. At one point Tom and I had almost all the kids and took them to explore the complex with us.
It was a very gorgeous complex.
I bought fish food for all the kids to share. There were a ton of huge fish in the pond!
While Sophie napped, we went to the beach (Isaac had the baby monitor in his room and was babysitting for me). It was a little cool, but the sun felt good.

Lily found a long piece of sea weed and turned it into a jump rope.

I took Sophie down to the beach when she woke up, but she did not like it one bit!
Later that afternoon, Tom took the three youngest swimming.
While Lily and I went with Mike's family and my dad to see "Oz, the Great and Powerful". It was a fun movie, especially in 3D, but very pricey.
After the movie we met up with everyone, because right across the street was a farmers market type event they hold every Thursday night. It was crowded and crazy, so we ended up eating at the quiet, indoor Subway instead. Jeff and I walked down to Johnny Manana's again, and just took our food back to Subway to eat with the others. I guess while I was gone, Sophie pulled the entire Subway sandwich onto the floor and Tom had to buy a new one.
It was another fun day!
